Podcast Video EditorTrailers, short form, and long form | Not Alone with Valeria LipovetskyCompany: Valeria Inc.Role: Ongoing freelance retainerLocation: Fully remoteWHO WE AREValeria Inc. is the media company behind Not Alone with Valeria Lipovetsky, a weekly podcast and YouTube show, and Creator Method, a community for digital entrepreneurs. Valeria is a model, fashion and content creator with a large multi-platform audience built over fifteen years online. Not Alone is built on the things women think and feel but rarely say out loud. Long conversations with guests, and solo episodes, that go deep without turning heavy and stay funny without turning small. Every week a woman finishes an episode and realizes she is not the only one carrying what she carries.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for an editor who can carry a weekly show end to end, and who is strongest where it matters most to us: the trailer and the short form. Those assets are how new listeners find the show. They have to stop a scroll in three seconds, hold tension across a minute, and leave someone needing to go watch the episode. That is a different skill than assembling a clean ninety- minute conversation, and we need both, from one person. You should think in story and edit with performance in mind. If you can watch ninety minutes of tape and know which twenty seconds will travel, we want to talk to you.WHAT YOU WOULD DELIVER, EVERY WEEK- One long form episode edit, multicam, roughly 60 to 90 minutes finished
- One trailer, cinematic, 60 to 90 seconds, in vertical and horizontal
- Five to seven short form reels, 30 to 60 seconds, each distinct from the others
- Two thumbnails for the episode (social + Youtube)
- Publishing and uploading across platforms, including YouTube, Megaphone, and additional channels. Roughly four episodes a month and a full set of assets for each one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTrailers and short form - Assist in pulling in the hooks, the emotional beats, and the standout moments inside a long conversation
- Build trailers with real tension. Cliffhangers throughout, cutting before the answer lands
- Open cold on a line that works with zero context, then earn back to it
- Cut reels that each stand on their own and look distinct from one another across the set
- Use music, sound design, pacing, silence, captions and motion graphics to carry the emotion
- Source and layer B-roll that supports what is being said rather than filling space
- Version everything across aspect ratios and platform requirements
Long form - Edit full episodes from raw multicam through final delivery
- Sync, organize and manage timelines and media across a weekly cadence
- Shape pacing so the conversation breathes and the heavy lines land
- Audio cleanup and mixing, color correction, and finishing polish
- Build in title cards, end cards and branded graphics to spec
Publishing and delivery - Upload and publish across YouTube, Megaphone and any additional platforms
- Build episode thumbnails
- Keep project files, exports, templates and archives organized and findable
EDITORIAL INSTINCTS- You understand audience engagement and retention.
- You can read YouTube Studio and social analytics and change what you make based on what you see
- You know a trailer is not a long reel, and you can explain the difference
- You follow what is working on social right now and you can say why
- You choose music with conviction rather than bringing a menu of options
- You balance instinct with the numbers and know when to trust each one
HOW YOU WORK- You take direction well and deliver against a brief without needing three rounds
- You bring back what we missed. Moments, hooks, B-roll we did not flag. We want a partner, not an order-taker
- Captions are clean, names are spelled correctly, and the brief is followed
- Reliable weekly turnaround. This is a show with a publishing schedule and it does not move
- You are curious about AI tools and where they genuinely speed up the work
QUALIFICATIONS- Three or more years of professional video editing, with published work we can watch
- Real experience cutting trailers, promos or marketing-driven short form, not only episode assembly
- Advanced Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- After Effects for titles, lower thirds, animated typography and callouts
- Photoshop for thumbnails
- Multicam editing, color correction, and audio cleanup to a professional standard
- Caption work that is accurate and matched to the speaker
- Comfortable sourcing and licensing music and B-roll
- Experience publishing to YouTube and a podcast hosting platform
Strong pluses- Audition or iZotope RX for audio repair and mixing
- Descript or another transcript-based editing workflow
- Frame.io or similar for review and feedback rounds
- Experience with a creator-led or personality-led brand
